Welcome to "Why I'm Not Writing." We all know that the only thing writers like doing more than writing is avoiding writing. So every Friday I list five things that have distracted me from my writing that week.
I also encourage you to share with me what made you procrastinate this week by posting with #whyimnotwriting on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram, or share in the comments below. I'll feature my favorites with everyone here.
Well today is officially the end of National Novel Writing Month, and I’ve finished just in the nick of time! LOST IN TRANSYLVANIA is officially finished, well at least the first draft. Since it took me about half the book to figure out what the plot actually is, I know I’ll have to go back and start from scratch, but I’m looking forward to taking another stab at it.
Time With Family
I got to spend last weekend with my parents and siblings, enjoying dinner together, putting together a puzzle and we even were able to squeeze in a trip to see Hamilton. It was really great time and made me so grateful to have my family live so close by.
With Thanksgiving over, it’s time for Christmas prep. We’ve already put our tree up and started decorating the house. We still need to put up our garland outside and, you know, order our Christmas presents, but at least we have one step down!
