Why I'm Not Writing This Week 12/14

Welcome to "Why I'm Not Writing." We all know that the only thing writers like doing more than writing is avoiding writing. So every Friday I list five things that have distracted me from my writing that week.

I also encourage you to share with me what made you procrastinate this week by posting with #whyimnotwriting on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram, or share in the comments below. I'll feature my favorites with everyone here.

Well, the storm hit as predicted on Sunday and buried us under 16 inches of snow. The nearby schools have been cancelled all week and I spent about four days streets in my pajamas drinking coffee and huddled by our space heater. We still have snow piled up everywhere, but the roads are at least safe now.

You’re The Worst

I watched this irreverent FX show years ago when it was in it’s first season. I’ve thought about watching more episodes but have always had a hard time finding the show online. Then, this week, I realized it was on Hulu (score!) and have been bingeing it all week.

Agent Submissions

After making some revisions to my fantasy novel, I sent my my book out to a few more agents. So far, I’ve gotten one very encouraging rejection, so hopefully that means the changes I made have been a step in the right direction. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Sims 4

I finally got a chance to download and play the new expansion pack for Sims 4, Get Famous, which allows me to make my sim a celebrity. Unfortunately, when my computer crashed last month, I lost all my previous game data, so I had to start from scratch, but it was still pretty fun to get back into the game.
