Why I'm Not Writing This Week 2/9
Welcome to "Why I'm Not Writing." We all know that the only thing writers like doing better than writing is avoiding writing. So every Friday I list five things that have distracted me from my writing that week.

Super Bowl Party
Personally, I don't care for sports, especially football. I was in marching band in high school and get my fill of the game, but Daniel decided he wanted to host a party at our house for the Super Bowl. I'm pretty sure he just wanted an excuse to invite out friends over since he cares for football even less than I do, but we ended up having a lot of fun and definitely got into the game.

Modern Family
Daniel and I were in Target last weekend and found a cheap box set of DVDs of Modern Family (yes, we do still buy DVDs). We've been watching the show pretty much all week long. It's goofy, a bit stereotypical, but it's an easy way to wind down with a glass of wine after a long, crappy day.
Celebrating With Friends!
A couple of my writing friends have some great news this week. Matt Taylor has a spiritual-related poetry book that came out and you can order it on Amazon. Also, Marjorie Lewis has an amazing new novel, which I've read parts of in the past, that is now available for pre-order and will be published October 2nd.
Business Cards
As I'm getting ready to go to more professional events and get my name and website out there more, I've been working to design business cards. What an exhausting and intensive experience. I figured I'd find a good layout, pick it out and order it, but there's so many to chose from and so much to customize. Hopefully, I'll have something to show for all my work soon.
