#Pitmad
Another #Pitmad competition took place on twitter this week. As always, it was fun to see all the great pitches out there and connect with other writers. While I didn’t get any likes this time around, I’m looking forward to the new Pitch contest in April.
How To Train Your Dragon
My husband and I saw the new How To Train Your Dragon movie over the weekend. It was absolutely amazing and I cried like a baby at the end. If you’ve enjoyed the last two movies and TV shows, you have to see the trilogy conclusion, in theaters is you can!
Friends From College Season 2
The new season of this Dramatic Comedy came out in January and I got a chance to watch it this week. While I’m not sure it was as funny as the first season, it definitely had a lot of twists and drama that I enjoyed. Plus, it has an amazing cast of actors that make every episode a treat.
International Literary Awards - Deadline Extended!!!
The Center for Women Writers is excited to launch this year’s International Literary Awards! Guidelines for each category are on our Submittable page. THE DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO MARCH 15th!
The winner in each genre—poetry, creative nonfiction & fiction—will receive $1,000. An honorable mention in each genre (judge’s discretion) will receive $150.
Lent Begins!
With Ash Wednesday this week, Lent begins and goes on until Easter, April 21st. This year, as part of my Lent observation, I’m giving up binge-watching and my husband is giving up Cheeseburgers and French Fries. It’s only been a couple of days, so it hasn’t been too hard yet, but I’m guessing having so much free time over the weekend will be a struggle.
