Surprises & Showers
This week has been full of happy surprises and showers (both of the baby and weather variety). My work through me a surprise baby shower that completely took me off guard and my grandparents stopped by on their way to vacation with gifts. Plus, I have two more showers coming up this weekend. One thing is very clear, this baby is going to be well dressed and very loved.
Building Furniture
As we start getting more times in for our registry, our nursery is filling up. So we’ve started putting together some of the items we’ve received to get the boxes cleared up and get things more baby-ready. So far we have our crib, bassinet, and dresser/changing table ready to go!
Queer Eye Season 5
The fifth season of Queer Eye came out over the weekend. As usual, the shower was sweet, light-hearted and full of good feels during an increasingly not-so-feel-good time. And watching such an emotional show while swimming in month 8 pregnancy hormones was definitely rough, but well worth it.
New Workshops
I know it’s crazy, but I’m squeezing in one more workshop/critique group with InkedVoices.com this month before the baby comes. I’m working on some revision to my current work in progress and hope to send this book to my editor by the end of the month. Of course, this is all assuming that baby boy doesn’t decide to come early.
Home Improvements
My husband and his family have been a huge help in the last week by working on some home improvement projects for us. They’ve been offering all of their recent free time to helping us get the house in as good as shape as possible for the baby comes. It’s been a huge weight off my shoulders.
