Happy Earth Day
This Wednesday was Earth Day and I hope everyone celebrated the day in a way they felt was best. Personally, my husband and me spent some time that day work on our outdoor spaces and cleaning up the yard.
Getting The Nursery Finished
Last weekend, me and my husband spent a lot of our free time working on our new nursery space. We finally got our furniture out and painted all the walls. Daniel is working on sanding and refinishing the hardwood floors and then we can start setting up furniture.
#DVPit
This Wednesday was #DVPit, the twitter pitchfest designed to promote diversity in publishing. I sen tout a few pitches and got some leads. I hope if you participated that you got some good results as well. As always though, it’s still a great opportunity to connect with other writers.
Tamora Pierce
For my audiobook listening this week, I wanted to continue with Harry Potter but the next book in the series wasn’t available. Instead, I decided to listen to another one of my favorites, Tamora Pierce. My favorite books of hers weren’t available to listen to, but I did get to pick up one o her books I’ve been meaning to read: Beka Cooper’s Terrier.
Spring Garden Ready
My husband has been getting into gardening and been encouraging me to get outside more by water the plants every day. He picked up some more flowers and lots of veggies for our Spring garden and plans to get more soon. Everything is really coming together.
